Qld: Man charged over drink spiking and rape
A 60-year-old man accused of raping a woman at a Gold Coast motel after spiking herdrink will appear in a Brisbane court today.
A police spokeswoman says the incident occurred on November 6, at the Mermaid Beachhotel on the Gold Coast.
The man's alleged to have administered a stupefying drug before sexually assaultingthe 30-year-old woman.
The man will face charges of rape, indecent assault and administering a stupefyingdrug with intent to commit an indictable offence.
He'll appear in Brisbane Magistrate's Court later today.
