Fed: One in 10 youths light up every day, study finds

CANBERRA, Feb 20 AAP - One in 10 youths smoke cigarettes every day and one in fivehad tried cannabis, according to a new snapshot of drug use in Australia.
The report painted a disturbing picture of drug use by 14 to 17-year-olds with twothirds of them having consumed alcohol in the past 12 months and one in five having smokedmarijuana.
Five per cent of the teenagers had used amphetamines and four per cent ecstasy or otherdesigner drugs.
