Fed: Workers could face losing Easter Tuesday under IR changes

Up to 44-thousand people working in the printing and metal trades in New South Wales
.. face losing their traditional Easter picnic day .. because of the new IR laws.

The Australian Manufacturing Workers Union says employers have been instructed to tell
workers .. to take holidays or return to work early.

DOUG CAMERON from the AMWU .. says the decision to cancel the holiday .. is a sign
employers will use the full powers handed to them by JOHN HOWARD to exploit workers.

He says the holiday has been protected for nearly 100 years .. and thousands of workers
and their families will be disrupted by its cancellation.
